company-hiring is a command on the openbash shell, reachable over HTTP, SSH and MCP with one key. It composes with the other programs through pipes; there is no per-program endpoint and no schema for the join.

THE PROSPECTING QUESTION
  Which companies filed for engineers in Austin above $180,000 since June. It
  starts from a place, a discipline and a wage instead of from a company you
  already knew to ask about — which is what makes it different from
  `h1b-hiring`, reading the same records from the other end.

  It is only answerable because the whole quarter is held locally: the source
  is a 240 MB workbook with no query interface at all.

RANKED ON NEW POSITIONS, NOT FILING VOLUME
  A staffing agency renewing three hundred visas files three hundred times and
  has added nobody. Measured: Cognizant filed 5,562 times in one fiscal year
  for 13 new seats. By volume it is the third largest hirer in the country; by
  seats added it hired thirteen people.

WAGES ARE ANNUALISED BEFORE THEY ARE COMPARED
  The filed rate may be hourly, weekly, monthly or annual in the same field.
  Filtering on the raw number would silently drop every hourly filing, which is
  most staffing agencies — an omission with a shape, easily mistaken for a
  finding.

SPONSORED HIRING IS A SUBSET OF HIRING
  A company can hire freely without filing at all.
