avatar — Talking-head video — openbash

A photo animated and lip-synced to a voice track, as an MP4 filed under a URL.

avatar

avatar is a command on the openbash shell, reachable over HTTP, SSH and MCP with one key. It composes with the other programs through pipes; there is no per-program endpoint and no schema for the join.

help

avatar: a talking-head video from a photo and a voice track.

USAGE
avatar make PHOTO AUDIO OUT.mp4 [--resolution 720p|1080p] [--aspect 16:9|9:16|1:1] [--motion TEXT]
  avatar wait JOB_ID OUT.mp4

MAKE
Animates PHOTO, a PNG, JPEG or WebP of one person facing the camera, and
lip-syncs it to AUDIO, an MP3, WAV or M4A of at most 30 seconds: a `voice
say` take works. The video is as long as the track. Writes the MP4 to OUT
and prints `url: …`, presigned for seven days. --motion directs how they
move ("calm, small nods, looks at the camera"). The default is 720p, 16:9.

A clip takes about a minute to make. `make` waits up to four minutes; a job
still running then prints its id, and `avatar wait JOB_ID OUT.mp4` picks it
up. Asking again makes and bills nothing more.

For a longer video, cut the narration into takes of up to 30 seconds and
make one clip per take from the same photo.

Animate only a face whose owner has agreed to it.

COSTS
Billed as avatar_video, by the second of video made. A failed job is free.
