So a position in\n  one of those indexes is the leading indicator of whether an agent finds a site\n  at all. `keywords` answers the question a visibility report actually asks —\n  \"for this keyword, where am I, and who is above me\" — instead of handing back\n  ten results for a caller to scan for their own host.\n\nNOT RANKING IS AN ANSWER\n  A keyword the domain misses comes back with a null position and the hosts that\n  took it. That row is usually the most useful one in the report.\n\nDOES NOT COVER\n  ChatGPT and Perplexity. Both query indexes of their own and publish no rank\n  API, so for those two the only observable is whether they cite you — a\n  different study, and not this one.
